Saturdays Weigh In

I'm still going strong on my 10lb journey. (I'm trying to lose 10 lbs!)
This is the and the scale do not get along. I hate even stepping on it but here goes:

Well, down .4     Why does the scale hate me so bad?  Sometimes I swear the scale is broken...but I'm not going to let it get me down. I am done talking about it. Actually, my outlook is so wrong. I should be happy about it!!
Yeah guys look... I lost .4 lbs!!! I must be doing something right! The scale loves me and my hard work is paying off!     Here is last weeks weigh in.
Lets take a look at my past week:
This week I did 5 days cardio! (i'm also going today)  And I did strength training 2x this week!  Yay.
And I met my goal. It really was such a mini goal of waking up early and being at the gym by 6:15 on Monday and Tuesday. But since I set that goal I proved to myself that I can get up early and go!

Now lets set some goals for the following week!

What a great question. This is why I have decided to do weekly goals.
This week I'm going to do 3 "men" push ups every day. How hard is that? everyone can do that right? The form will not be perfect but by the end of the week they might be?
And it will get me closer to my lose 10 lbs goal.

Also came across this article that will blow your socks off! If you eat out you need to click on this link:
Taco Bell, Subway, even chicken strips!  It tells you how many calories you are eating.
I could not believe it!

Here's to another great week!

Get a Hobby!

Hobbies help you improve your mental health and well being because  you're engaging the creative network in your brain, you are challenging you mind and keeping it sharp. Its also a stress reduction. If you are married its important to have other things, separate things that make you happy.  Don't rely on your spouse to make you happy. You both need to find happiness in the things that you enjoy and since happiness is contagious it will rub off on your spouse. You also need to give your spouse space so they can enjoy things they love to do, its important to keep your identity in a marriage! You can still "find yourself" while being married. (I've been married over 20 years) You don't need to rely on people to make you happy! People will let you down, they have there own obligations they have to tend to so if you a

Your First Sewing Machine!

People making masks as well as others picking up new hobbies due to quarantine and with Christmas around the corner this might even be on your list! So are you looking to buy a sewing machine? If you are in the market for a new Sewing machine you might be a bit perplexed with all the different features. In fact sewing machines range from $100 up to..well there are some in the $12,000 range! So I'm going to keep it simple and share 3 key features to look for in your sewing machine investment. 1. Needle up/down feature : This means when you are sewing a project and you stop you can indicate that you want the needle down into the project so your fabric stays in place when you need to pivot or make adjustments to the fabric. 2. Automatic needle threader : this saves time (and frustration) by threading the needle for you. 3. Needle position right to left: This allows you to stitch

Car seat canopy covers

This is a must have in the summer heat I had a summer baby, born in July!  And I wanted her to have privacy when out in public but there was no way I was going to drape a blanket over her so as a sewer I came up with a solution! Moms are problem solvers!
