Secret Santa Swap

I know I showed my Snowman already but what I didn't tell you is that I have to give it away... Yess, I made it for the Secret Santa Swap! In a couple days I have to pack it up and ship it out. But if it puts a smile on my swap partners face then its worth it! I attached tabs on the back so it can be hung with just a little nail. (i don't know why one tab looks smaller, I promise it's just the picture angle) Usually I hand stitch the back of the binding but this time I did it by machine and my experience is finally paying off! It looks like I did it by hand! Tons of pinning is key. Thanks for looking! If you jump over to   CottonCharmquilts  you can visit other blogs that participated in the swap.

a new dress...

Today I am sharing a dress I made for my daughter.... My experience is paying off!  ...however, i'm not going to put away my seem ripper quite yet! This is the best work I have done on gathering to date. And then I managed to intall a zipper and an eyehook at the top of the zipper. And here is the overview!       Mccalls 5838 is the pattern I used. And I'm participating in Sew Cute Tuesday Check out her blog, there are so many cute projects there! Thanks for looking!

Frosty the Snowman!

I am finally done with the wall hanging! This is all applique! I picked this pattern up from my local quilt shop and it was so fun to put together. Here is a closeup of the mittens and cute buttons! Thanks for Looking!  There are so many other christmas projects on Sewcalgal's Blog    She is hosting the 2010 Christmas Quilt Show so if you have a cute christmas project make sure to post it!

Navy Stripes

Here is an update on my straight  line quilting...   At this point it seems like it will never get done! I started out doing really skinny lines..you can tell on the right hand side of the pix above...then I made the spaces a little farther apart because I want to get this completed this month! I think it's looking good but takes a lot of patience at that machine! And here is the back...my dog immediately took his place on it as soon as I layed it down! haha, I'll show more pix once it is binded and complete.

sew n tell

So in an earlier post I was trying to decide how to quilt my pumpkin patch wall hanging, I didn't know what to do for the background.....  So I went with stippling.... When in doubt...stipple it out. And now it's complete!  There are some amazing finishes on Amylouwho's blog this week. Make sure you check them out!

It's a secret

I figured I would post something that shows I am working on my secret santa gift.   I cannot wait for this to be complete. I have actually quilted the whole thing, I just need to bind it then I will reveal it!  I hope everyone else is having fun quilting for the holidays.
