Mask Tutorial using hair ties
As 2020 comes to an end I decided I better put my mask pattern out there...its like showing the world that yes...I am a sewist and I am a mask maker of 2020!
The pattern I have been using for the past 9 months comes from Craft Passion I just use the basic shape of the mask...very simple, no filter and no wire. I also use hair ties instead of elastic...If you sew as well then you can remember how there was a shortage in elastic? No one had elastic...even Amazon sold out of elastic! (oh and for some reason no toilet paper either....not sure what people were doing with the excess amount of toilet paper..)
So because of the lack of elastic I came up with an alternative and I think it works better than elastic. Its more comfortable and easy to install in the mask.

Snappy Mask Pouch
This is a Sewing Tutorial for a small vinyl bag for your mask!
So masks are still a thing however they may be doing more harm than good if you are the type that just puts it in your purse… Or worse have you pulled into the parking lot you see your mask on the car floor then pick it up to put it on your face? Think about it… You are putting it up to your mouth! Thats not very sanitary....Because it's made of vinyl, you can wipe it out with a clorox wipe everyday. If you can benefit from this then you will want to stick around to learn how to make this vinyl Snappy Bag.
This bag has vinyl and it snaps closed from tape measure. I uploaded a youtube video showing you different tips for sewing with vinyl. We will also install casing for the tape measure.

The Bachelorette Fans!
And for the record, his mustache didn't bother me one bit. But I also thought it was super sweet that he shaved it for Tayshia. I also don't understand why the guys were so mad when he jumped over the fence to fight for Tayshia's love! He stepped up! Also...not impressed at all by Bennett, arrogant, condescending...please send him home! I have not watched tonights episode...I'm sure once I'm done with this post we will all know who she sent home...
