I did it!

I saw this quilt and the quilt show that was absolutely amazing! I wish I had a pix of it. It is called Stars around Town and they are different blocks that have bridal shop, ice cream shop, train station etc. This is the first block I did cuz it was the easiest, it is the pet shop. Although its not perfect (cat only has one ear-haha) I am still happy with it! I took my grandmother with me and we had so much fun. Look at all the fabrics I got.....

I love this one with the roses, it's like a 50's retro modern design...

What makes this fabrics even more great is that each piece was only $1.00! Usually they are about $2.30-$3.00 So you can see how much I actually saved by how many I got!

Season's Greetings!

I love, love, love stitchery! Trying to stay ahead of my christmas projects.
I thought it looked cute as a pillow but really what do you do with a pillow?

I thought it looked even cuter as a gift bag! And even sweeter with some carmel corn in it. I'm giving this one to my good neighbor friend.

Idaho Falls

We had so much fun, the weather was great, and we didn't have a lot of dirt to deal with, it was like camping in a park. And we got to bring Zuko, we also went through Bear Country and there was a petting zoo.

simple bags

I really love the colors in this fabric. And the bag was so easy to put together. I will use this as one of my grocery bags instead of plastic. Love this bag, I made it cuz the girls always come over and color, now I have something cute to put the coloring books in.

heating pad cover

This is my best invention so far! Sometimes I sew for so long I get cramps in my shoulders and neck but still cannot stop sewing!! So now I make a cover for my heating pad That I can wrap around my shoulders while sewing or whatever else I need to do. And you can wrap it around any part of your aching muscles! You just fold up the heating pad and put it in the cover.

I attached long straps to it so you can wrap it around your stomach if you get cramps, you can wrap it around your arms, thighs (in case your muscles are sore from working out) you can wrap it around your neck or upper back too!

Book Bag

I love this fabric! I had a little bit left over from an apron I made so I decided to make a little coloring book kit for when the little ones come over.

My Favorites...

I have to say this is probably my favorite piece of fabric so far...This is the back of it. And I have to mention that Georgie is always a good sport by modeling my creations.

This is my favorite stitchery pattern. It's the Simplicity pattern with the flowers but I changed it up a bit and put pumpkins in the wagon for fall.

The Drive In

The girls slept over last night and we were going to take them to the Drive In since they have never been. Well nothing good was playing so we created our own Drive In in the drive way!! We played 17 again on the portable dvd player and popped popcorn. I think me and Carley enjoyed it the most.

What was I thinking?

So I made this pillow and it looks nothing like I envisioned it to be. I looks like it belongs in the Ronald McDonald Charity house. And here is the Ronald McDonald waiting room. GEEZ!
I guess I will just recycle these into something else.

Bear Lake Trip

We stayed in the white condo's at the top, it overlooks Bear Lake. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful view. This is what I saw when I walked out of the sliding glass door from our kitchen.
The first night we took the kids to the indoor pool. It was in the same parking lot so we let the kids ride in back..I rode in the back with them so I could get this cute picture. The next day was beach time. Linda and Clive made it so fun for us. ..

They brang there big fancy boat!

And we had our own private little beach area.

Everyone convince Brenda to try wakeboarding and she did it.
She got up out of the water her first try!

Saturday night was fun too. Everyone came back to the condo and we played "Last Word"

And then unfortunately we had to go home. This is all of us Sunday Morning.
Good News is we get to do it all over again next year.
