Have you heard of this book? Or come across it at a quilt store?

Well this has kept me occupied all weekend. This book as the cutest little projects in it.

 It has good little gift ideas.

Right now I'm working on this little towel. I'm going to give it to my friend with some hand soap.

It was hard trying to figure out how to get the picture onto the towel so I could stitch it. Because of the micro-fiber it was hard to draw on it. So finally what I did was just cut out the shape of the tub and face onto freezer paper and ironed it on the towel to use as a guide...then the freezer paper just peels off.

Then I just had to do the bubbles and hair free hand, and then I added the pom pom trimming. I still need to write the word "Bubblelicious" but I just wanted to show you what I was up too!

I bought this new book at our local quilt shop and it has great projects in it! I love how they use linen to do the stitchery in.

So I just whipped this up really quick to put on my desk at work.

I also wanted to try a different technique where they did stitchery on black wool with white floss or really dark fabric so the instructions say to trace the pattern on tissue paper, put it over the fabric and stitch it but that did not work at all. as soon as I put the needle thru it ripped the tissue paper. So any ideas? How do you transfer the pattern to dark fabrics?

Sew N Tell Friday

I have not had a lot of time to sew lately. I have been doing a lot of decorating, decluttering and cleaning our home. But I was able to squeeze these 2 projects in....

Bountiful Blessings

I love stitchery, I'm sure I have said that more than once, I also enjoy applique! I'm not sure what I want to do with this one? I think I will frame it. I just thought it was incredibly cute and just perfect for Thanksgiving.

And this is just a hot pad I made, it's actually called a Pot Pincher. They are really handy, this one I made for me. I have more in the making.

I love, love, love stitchery! Trying to stay ahead of my christmas projects.

I thought it looked cute as a pillow but really what do you do with a pillow?

I thought it looked even cuter as a gift bag! And even sweeter with some carmel corn in it. I'm giving this one to my good neighbor friend.

My Favorites...

I have to say this is probably my favorite piece of fabric so far...This is the back of it. And I have to mention that Georgie is always a good sport by modeling my creations.

This is my favorite stitchery pattern. It's the Simplicity pattern with the flowers but I changed it up a bit and put pumpkins in the wagon for fall.

more stuff!

Not too happy with this one, it's too big, it barely fits in an 8x10 frame. Not sure what to do with it. I can make it into a pillow i guess? Couldn't wait to show this one off. I sewed each individual petal then sewed them all together and stitched pearl beads in the middle. I'm going to make two more with white background and colorful fabric for the flower!

A Special Gift..

I love this, I want to keep it for myself but someones b-day is coming up and I am giving it to her....

I love stitchery! It's so fun and fast.... I made this little bag and I'm going to fill it with chewy chex mix and give to my neighbor for Easter!
