Here is a little table topper I did. I thought I would try quilting it with straight lines...
I think it turned out okay? It's very springy!

a little more..
I was able to get a few more blocks completed for my sampler quilt... I find that in order to get the points to match up is to iron the seams open. These are not paper pieced, i'm actually sewing the little pieces together.
And I'm not very thrilled with this runner? I couldn't wait to get the Nicey Jane charm pack but when I received it there were only about 5 squares that I really liked. I guess I better pump this up with a nice border.

Think Spring!
I was unable to get a lot done, I have spent this whole week in the hospital with my daughter, she had a cold + asthmas = the "Perfect Storm" So we spent a couple days in the hospital because she needed the oxygen, but while in there I was able to complete the binding around this fabulous table runner. Oh and she is doing very well now! This is made from the Verna charm pack by Kate Spain. Moda fabrics are my favorite...and I mixed some linen in it as well. This is my own pattern I made up by combining the squares and just randomly sewing them together.
Well, thanks for looking, make sure to check out the other show n tells on Amylouwho's blog.
Here is a close up of my Valentine Runner, pretty simple too! just sewn together a bunch of strips.

my daughter sews!
She saw the lunch bag pattern in my "One Yard Wonders" Book and wanted to make it.
She cut the fabric, quilted it and attached the binding!
I only helped with the curves of the binding and attached the velcro. I really don't like the way the pattern was written. If I were to do this again I would not attach the binding, I would sew it all then turn it inside out cuz the binding was a pain when working around the curves.

It's about time..
I've had this started for about 6 months, finally finished it this weekend. I didn't use a pattern, I just took measurements, I think it turned out all right.
And here is a sneek peak of my spring table runner. I was so excited when I went to Ben Franklin and saw that they had the fabric called "Verna" by Kate Spain, Moda fabrics are my favorite! I mixed some linen fabric in it and it is going to turn out fabulous. Didn't use a pattern for this one either. Stay tuned to see the finished product!

My machine and I..
I thought this would be a great opportunity to show off my new purchase...It's a dream to sew on.
And I have mix feelings about this quilt, not even sure if I picked the right fabric for the binding. I've had this "Sleepy Time" charm pack for so long and I was unable to find anymore fabric from that line for the binding so I had to go with this...

I had to pick a green color so it would work for a girl or a boy. My neighbor is having a baby and they are not sure if it's a girl or boy, they are keeping it a surprise. And don't you love that corner?
And Ta DA!! Here it is...I stippled across the whole thing, it's not my favorite. Since there are so many white areas I should have picked a quilting design rather than stippling it. Trust me, it looks better in this picture than in person. This is my own pattern, it's a great idea if you have a charm pack. I just cut each 5 inch square in half, matched up the colors and started sewing. I also added strips of solids to make it bigger.
