Ikea Fabric... Who Knew?

So ususally this thick decorator fabric is about $12.99 a yard and up but this was at Ikea for $6.99 a yard! I want to kick myself for not taking a before and after pix, those are fun. I needed a new iron board cover for months now...

And this would have been a great before and after pic too! I bought this blue chair at a garage sale for $2 bucks and just stapled this fabric to it. And this fabric was at Ikea for .99 a yard!

A Special Gift..

I love this, I want to keep it for myself but someones b-day is coming up and I am giving it to her....

first quilt

This is the first and only quilt that I have finished and I gave it to my friend who just had a baby boy....



I really haven't been posting too much of my sewing projects but this one i really like.

Walking the dog

K, so I have learned my lesson, I rarely take Zuko with me when I go walking cuz we will get about 1/4 mile and he will just stop and I will have to carry him. Well this time he convinced me that he would do fine so I take him and sure enough after about a block he stopped but I was prepared....

This is what it has come too! I walked all the way home like this, It was quite funny! I really need to look into getting a dog with longer legs.

4th of July

While everyone went out of town we stayed in. We went to the Layton Carnival during the day where she got her face painted.

Then we came home and did our own fireworks...

Iron Horse was our Grand Finale Firework.

The Bee's Game..

I can't believe the rain...it is ALWAYS raining. Matt and I went to the baseball game last week and OF COURSE it rained..check out this cloud that hovered over us!

But we had good seats and just waited for the rain to pass, I'm glad we did cuz there was this beautiful rainbow that came after the storm.... Then finally, it was time to play ball..

St George Trip

We took a quick trip to St George to get out of the rain. We went to Tuacahn which is in Snow Canyon and watched Footloose the Musical!

Tuacahn is an outdoor Theater. The show started at 8:30pm and the summer night was perfect!

We stayed in a condo at Sports Village

And what is a vacation without pedicures??

WHOA!!!!!

This is right in front of our condo, the weather was perfect, about 93 degrees!

While the rain was pouring in Layton, we were having fun at the pool!
