a pattern remix

So here is a top that I made from my 1 hour dress pattern
I just added ruffles and made it shorter for a dress.

It's a McCalls Pattern 9172 and I just recently made a dress from it.
I just finished the shirt then I drew lines on it so I knew where to attach the ruffles. And you have to run out and get this marker, it is great, it writes on fabric so easy and it disappears as soon as you iron it. Isn't that great? I sure does beat trying to spray it with water.
Then I just added the ruffles and created a sashing.
So here we are...a cute spring top!
I'm going to submit this into the pattern remix contest

And also:
make it wear it

If you are married its important to have other things, separate things that make you happy.  Don't rely on your spouse to make you happy. You both need to find happiness in the things that you enjoy and since happiness is contagious it will rub off on your spouse. You also need to give your spouse space so they can enjoy things they love to do, its important to keep your identity in a marriage! You can still "find yourself" while being married. Your First Sewing Machine!

2020 has been a great year for sewing machine sales! Joanne's can't seem to keep them in stock. People making masks as well as others picking up new hobbies due to quarantine and with Christmas around the corner this might even be on your list! So are you looking to buy a sewing machine? If you are in the market for a new Sewing machine you might be a bit perplexed with all the different features. In fact sewing machines range from $100 up to..well there are some in the $12,000 range! So I'm going to keep it simple and share 3 key features to look for in your sewing machine investment. 1. Needle up/down feature : This means when you are sewing a project and you stop you can indicate that you want the needle down into the project so your fabric stays in place when you need to pivot or make adjustments to the fabric. 2. Automatic needle threader : this saves time (and frustration) by threading the needle for you. 3. Needle position right to left: This allows you to stitch

Car seat canopy covers

This is a must have in the summer heat I had a summer baby, born in July!  And I wanted her to have privacy when out in public but there was no way I was going to drape a blanket over her so as a sewer I came up with a solution! Moms are problem solvers!
