pantry redo

So I have been working on refinishing our deck and our newest purchase is this power sprayer!

It is great! It took me about 2 hours to paint 20 railings but only about 30 minutes to paint over 100 using this sprayer! a paint sprayer is well worth it. We bought ours for $100 at Home Depot.
So in between painting the deck (i will blog about that later) I came in to grab something to eat and I decided it was time to do something about these ugly shelves.

When we bought our house the kitchen had black and white tile and fairy princess bordered wall paper (don't ask) lol. And then of course the shelves were lined black and white checkered. I have looked everywhere for (cheap) shelf liner or wall paper but its so expensive and if its going to be in a closet then I don't want to spend that much soooooo, i decided to paint them.
So we have to pull everything out and of course it's a hassle, big mess and even Zuko thinks i'm crazy...
and I just want to throw in the towel, but then I wouldn't get this...
What a difference paint makes! It amazes me every time!
It just looks much cleaner to me.
And then I painted the inside of the door.  Much, Much better. I kinda want to do some cute geometric design on the inside. I know its pretty plain right now but there is just NO TIME  :(  This is the best I can do while  I work a full time job so to fit projects like this into the mix is a huge challenge.   Just trying to fix up my house one weekend at a time.
Thanks for looking! I'm going to link up to one of my favorite blogs:

Join in on the fun! Until next time....

  1. It looks great. Did you just paint over the liner? Sometimes it is really hard to get up the old liner and I was wondering if you just went right over it?

When you concentrate on your hobby it is clearing your mind of other distractions. It makes you happy! It makes you interesting! If you are married its important to have other things, separate things that make you happy.  Don't rely on your spouse to make you happy. You both need to find happiness in the things that you enjoy and since happiness is contagious it will rub off on your spouse. You also need to give your spouse space so they can enjoy things they love to do, its important to keep your identity in a marriage! You can still "find yourself" while being married. (I've been married over 20 years) You don't need to rely on people to make you happy! People will let you down, they have there own obligations they have to tend to so if you a

Your First Sewing Machine!

2020 has been a great year for sewing machine sales! Joanne's can't seem to keep them in stock. People making masks as well as others picking up new hobbies due to quarantine and with Christmas around the corner this might even be on your list! So are you looking to buy a sewing machine? If you are in the market for a new Sewing machine you might be a bit perplexed with all the different features. In fact sewing machines range from $100 up to..well there are some in the $12,000 range! So I'm going to keep it simple and share 3 key features to look for in your sewing machine investment. 1. Needle up/down feature : This means when you are sewing a project and you stop you can indicate that you want the needle down into the project so your fabric stays in place when you need to pivot or make adjustments to the fabric. 2. Automatic needle threader : this saves time (and frustration) by threading the needle for you. 3. Needle position right to left: This allows you to stitch
