Some favorites for christmas gifts

So we all know how addicting pinterest is but I'm sure you will all agree it is an inspiration overload!
I browse and want to pin and make everything  ...but by the  time I'm done with that site I don't know what to make!! So I decided to look on my own blog and in my own sewing room for ideas.

Market Bag - This is a gift that anyone can appreciate. My pattern came from a simplicity pattern I picked up for .99cents however there are several tutorial all over the internet you can find.

Box Bags  Here is another one of my favorites!  You wouldn't believe it is made with with one piece of fabric!  This will be a good gift for anyone.

And then what I made this weekend was a couple more bags!
I love small patchwork and applique. this one was very time consuming but worth it.

And I still love the bags with clear plastic. This one turned out cute.

Then I made this one for my dad. He might think its a weird present but guys have things they can put in a bag right? Well he goes to the gym so he may use it more than if he didn't go to the  gym? Ya know what I'm sayin'?

Hobbies help you improve your mental health and well being because  you're engaging the creative network in your brain, you are challenging you mind and keeping it sharp. Its also a stress reduction. When you concentrate on your hobby it is clearing your mind of other distractions. It makes you happy! It makes you interesting! If you are married its important to have other things, separate things that make you happy.  Don't rely on your spouse to make you happy. You both need to find happiness in the things that you enjoy and since happiness is contagious it will rub off on your spouse. You also need to give your spouse space so they can enjoy things they love to do, its important to keep your identity in a marriage! You can still "find yourself" while being married. Your First Sewing Machine!

2020 has been a great year for sewing machine sales! Joanne's can't seem to keep them in stock. People making masks as well as others picking up new hobbies due to quarantine and with Christmas around the corner this might even be on your list! So are you looking to buy a sewing machine? If you are in the market for a new Sewing machine you might be a bit perplexed with all the different features. In fact sewing machines range from $100 up to..well there are some in the $12,000 range! So I'm going to keep it simple and share 3 key features to look for in your sewing machine investment. 1. Needle up/down feature : This means when you are sewing a project and you stop you can indicate that you want the needle down into the project so your fabric stays in place when you need to pivot or make adjustments to the fabric. 2. Automatic needle threader : this saves time (and frustration) by threading the needle for you. 3. Needle position right to left: This allows you to stitch
